Fleet News Update - June 2019

Class 150
150128 and 150277 are in works.
150130 is now PRM compliant.
150273 is now PRM compliant and has been refurbished.

Class 155
155344 is now PRM compliant and has been refurbished, completing the PRM modifications for this unit type. 155346 still requires an interior refurbishment.

Class 156
156441 is now PRM compliant and has been refurbished.
156475 is now allocated to Newton Heath.

Class 158
158848-158850, 158855 and 158859-158860 are now allocated to Heaton.
158872 is now PRM compliant.
158867 and 158905 are now PRM compliant and have been refurbished.
158868 and 158908 are in works.

Class 195
195007, 195123 and 195124 were delivered this month.
195102, 195114 and 195116-195121 have entered service.
195116 has been named Proud To Be Northern.

Class 331
331008, 331009, 331103 and 331104 were delivered this month.
331106 and 331110 have entered service, both units are named Proud To Be Northern.

Class 333
333010 is in works. 333014 has been refurbished.

Special Update - All Change!

Today is the first day of service for Northern's new Class 195 and Class 331 fleets, with these being the first brand new trains for the Northern rail franchise in its current form.

Seven Class 195 units have entered service on the Manchester Airport to Barrow-in-Furness and Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Airport (as well as one journey between Lime Street and Wilmslow) routes as well as the Oxenholme to Windermere shuttle. The units which have entered service are 195102 and 195116-121.

On the east side of the Pennines, two Class 331 units (331106 and 331110) have entered service on the Leeds to Doncaster route.
